A man kills a wife in Otuke

A 38 year old Man arrested for hacking his wife to death in otuke district.

The police in Otuke District are investigating an incident of murder of Atim Jenneth 38 yrs old that occurred today in Merimaki village,Ogor Sub-County Otuke District.

This follows a report that was registered at the police station by Okengo Jasper area LC III of Ogor Sub-County according to Jimmy Patrick Okema.

It’s alleged that on the 13th Oct 2023 Atim took thier child who was sick for medical treatment at a nearby clinic where the child was admitted for a night, hence on the 14th Oct 2023,the child was discharged from the clinic and the mother returned home at around 2140 hours.

The suspect Ogwel Jimmy 38 yrs old the husband became very annoyed suspecting that the wife Atim (deceased) could have gone to have sex with another man, he later picked an axe and cut the deceased to death instantly .

Okema Said the crime scene was visited by the team of police officers from Otuke CPS, scene well documented, suspect arrested and taken to cells at Otuke CPS as his file is being compiled for submission to RSA while the
deceased body conveyed to Orum Heath Center IV pending postmortem.

Police warned the married people to always control their tempers before acting as Ward of encouragement to the general public
