DOKOLO WOMAN KILLS OWN SON OVER A PIECE OF RAW POTATO.

A 35-year-old woman reportedly killed her two -and -half -year old son after finding him chewing raw piece of sweet potato.

This was part of the potatoes the suspect wanted to prepare for supper.

The woman identified as Harriet Agili was arrested by the police following the incident.

She is being held at CPS Dokolo.

According to Donald Odur,a resident of the area, the suspect hails from Odeo village in Adok sub county.

It’s suspected that the woman, out of anger, strangled her son, identified as Maxwell Okori to death.

According to some witnesses, Agili later hanged the body on a tree to make it appear that the son had committed suicide.

Patience Baganzi, the Dokolo DPC , confirmed the matter and said detectives have begun investigations into the matter.

Agili has been charged with murder registered under ref: SD/05/11/08/2023, while the deceased body was conveyed to Dokolo Health Centre 1V mortuary for a post-mortem.

Murder is a capital offence under the PCA and carries a maximum of death on the gallows upon conviction.
