NRM vice chairperson killed in domestic brawl

The NRM Youth League vice chairperson for Alito Sub County, Kole district, David Olwoc has reportedly died after being hit on the head by his wife with a pestle.

The incident occurred on Sunday while the deceased David Olwoc had visited Scovia Akullu in Puranga in Pader District.

The NRM Youth League chairperson of Alito Sub County James Awany said Akullu who is from Lamwo District hit Olwoc with the pestle on the head while he was asleep, killing him instantly.

He said Akullu is currently on the run.

Awany said that before the incident, the couple had a misunderstanding.

He said the body of David Olwoc has been taken to Pajule Health Centre IV for postmortem.

Effort to speak to Aswa River region police spokesperson David Ongom Mudong over the matter was futile as he did not answer to our phone calls.
