Speaker Among vows not to preside over parliament in future.

Speaker of Parliament Anita Among has vowed not to preside over parliament in future if the ministry of finance fails to provide funds for both intern and senior health medics.

This was after a group of Joint Medical professionals led by Dr. Ekwaro Obuku petitioned the speaker on the failure by government to deploy and pay allowences of intern medics.

Dr. Obuku also raised concern on the policy by ministry of Health to make intern medics to pay for their trainings contrary to the law.

Speaker Among emphasized that parliament already gave conditions to both Ministry of Health and Ministry of Finance to pay and deploy all intern medics and failure to do so parliament will take action of not sitting until all is implemented.
