Uganda is eyeing gold, silver medals as 18 hit medal bracket
In the just concluded Para Badminton International championship, Uganda managed to get only one silver medal that was produced by Nakayima Harriet.
But in Africa Para Badminton underway at Lugogo Indoor Arena, Uganda has qualified the biggest number of semifinalists (18) and is eyeing more gold and silver medals more than they received in international Championship.
In all categories, Team Uganda has competitors at semifinal level and the their head Coach Ronald Lule is optimistic that his charges will produce the best.
Katalo Godfrey is among those who have received semifinals and though he was eliminated from men singles at the quarter final level, he is optimistic that in doubles he will win a gold medal.
All semifinal games will be played tomorrow (Saturday) before the finals which are set to be held on the climaxing day which is Sunday.
