Apac secondary school teachers on strike over delayed payments.

A group of secondary school teachers in Apac district have laid down their tools in protest over delay in their salary payments.

According to the report the teachers are demanding their salaries for November and December 2022.

Last week the teachers gave Education department including district leaders up to 13th- March-2023 to act on their demand.

Efforts to speak to the Geoffrey Okaka the Chief Administrative Officer of Apac for comments did not go through as his phone was off.

Patrick Ocen the Senior Education Officer of Apac said they are doing all it takes to clear the teachers’ pending salaries.
