Government gives out tractors to Ajuri people.

Seven sub counties in Ajuri County, Alebtong district have received tractors from the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal lndustry and Fisheries to boost agricultural production in there areas.

The Government Chief Whip Denis Hamson Obua handed over the hand-held tractors to the sub- county leaders including Amugu, Omoro, Adwir, Angetta, Amugu Town council, Awei and Abako with a model farmer.

Obua lauded the National Resistance Movement government under the leadership of President Yoweri Museveni saying as government it’s their deliberate efforts to boost agricultural production in the entire country.

He said the usage of hand held tractors is part of their efforts as the government to ensure that local people are supported, should now start using advanced technology and the usage of handheld tractors is one of those.

Obua appreciated the Ministry of agriculture for piloting the project in Ajuri and people should appreciate it.
Meanwhile the district woman MP Dorcas Acen described the development as a great opportunity and rallied all the farmers to utilize the machinery properly to boost production.

The Resident District Commissioner, Gilan Akullo pledged their total support and commitment to see that the machine is properly used for its designed purpose.
