Statements on Hit and run accident in Amolatar

One person identified as Otim Fred has been reported dead after he was knocked in alleged hit and run accident. This occurred on 21st Dec 2022 at 2200 hours at Ating trading center along Alemere Awelo road.
Otim is 42 yrs old an accountant in Adjumani District but a resident of Awelo Sub-County in Amolatar District.
Police in Amolatar CPS were informed about the incident, a team of police officers led by the OC traffic visited the scene, examined the scene, deceased body conveyed to Amolatar health center pending postmortem as we wait for the relatives.

This becomes the 15th fatal accidents reports in North Kyoga in a period of 3 weeks meaning we have lost more than 15 people. We would like to encourage members of the public to be conscious while using the road and observed all traffic rules and regulations to avoid falling a victim.
