Teso women advised to embrace government Programs-Minister Minsa Kabanda
The minister for Kampala Kapital City and Metropolitan affairs Hon Hajat Minsa Kabanda has encouraged Teso women community to embrace Government programs if they want to progress in their development.
Kabanda while speaking at the celebrations to mark the belated Soroti City women’s day held at the Soroti City Sports ground noted that being against the current government leadership can hinder development of the region.
The event that was meant to be graced by the Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among was attended by over two thousand women who were gathered to celebrate the long awaited event.
At the same function, the member of parliament for Soroti City East Edmond Herbert Ariko also revealed that the hospital of Otatai health Centre three (H/C-III) has received shs. 1bilion for its construction that will improve the lives of people living in that community.
Ariko also added that if the people of Soroti embrace government related programs, other health centres such as Moru apesur health Centre three (H/C-III) will equally receive building materials to enable completion of the structures currently under construction.
Josephine Ibaseret who is the deputy Resident City Commissioner Soroti on the other hand advised the women to embrace government programs if they want to drive poverty out of their families.
