Depending champions Uganda Christian University advanced to the semi-finals of this season’s Pepsi University Football League following a 3-0 victory over Nkumba University today Thursday in Mukono in the second leg of their quarter-final tie.

Isaac Ofoyrwoth opened the scoring for UCU in the 2″ and David Mbalaga scored from the spot in the 48″ before Derrick Tenywa Derrick sealed it in the 84″.

UCU advanced 3-0 on aggregate after the two sides had a goalless draw in the first leg in Entebbe a fortnight ago.

UCU join St. Lawrence University and Uganda Martyrs University in the semi-finals as they await the winner between Makerere University Business School and Kyambogo University to complete the set.
