48 arrested, found with opium in a club.

The territorial police in Lira-City West Division and CPS conducted a joint operation led by both DPCs upon receiving intelligence information about some criminals at Spice Club which is located in the City near tipper stage. This intelligent led operations was conducted on the 13th Sept 2022 between 21:00 hours and midnight
Twenty two (22) females were rounded up and twenty six (26) male were all apprehended and taken to Lira-City West Division and CPS respectively
We recovered with them opiums an indication that they smoked from that place and at late hours attack citizens going back home from various work places.
Hence a case files of being in possession of opium was registered at both stations and investigations is going on.
Screening is also being conducted
According to PRO North Kyoga Police says “we are in touch with Lira-City authority to see that Spice Club licences is de-registered since it’s a hub for gangsters.
We promised to continue with this operations until we weed out these suspected criminals.”
