Disunity among NRM, UPC leaders stifling development in Kwania
Abongomola Sub County chairman in Kwania district, Adoli Zumbe Adyeri has decried division among National Resistance Movement (NRM) and Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) party leaders of Kwania district which he fears could stifle development in the district.
Zumbe Adyeri cites the presence of two MPs and the district LCV chairpersons who are UPC members while most of the LC3 chairpersons are NRM party members, this he says could draw disunity, thereby affecting effective delivery of services.
Zumbe Adyeri said much as they are working to lobby for development of the district, some of the leaders have failed to work with them, riding on their party affiliation.
He said for development to be realized in the district, there’s need for the leaders to work together putting aside party attachment.
On 22/1/2023, Abongomola Sub County marked 22 years since its creation from Aduku Sub County while still under Apac district, during which they engaged the members of parliament on strategies to develop the district, without riding on party identity.
He said they plan to establish a vocational training school to offer hands on skill training for self-reliance.
