Lango paramount chief, Won Nyaci Yosam Odur has enthroned former RDC as clan leader.

Lango paramount chief, Won Nyaci Yosam Odur Ebil has enthroned the former resident district commissioner of Kwania, Richard Ogwang Odyero as a clan leader.
Ogwang Odyero was inaugurated on Saturday January 20, 2024 in a ceremony held at Ibuje Ginnery cell,in Ibuje Town council, Apac district as clan chief of Ogora, one of the 150 clans in the Lango Sub region.

Ogwang called for unity in the cultural institution if Lango is to move on as a united tribe with One voice.
“If we are to promote cultural leadership as a tribe,then we need to take the gospel of unity seriously,”he says.

While delivering his remarks,the principal private secretary of the paramount chief also a clan leader of malakwanga George Rashid Opio, said he has no interest to contest to replace the current Lango paramount chief Odur Ebil on election scheduled for January 31,2024.

Opio George, also urged clan leaders to be united during this coming election for the new paramount chief,so that the culture move forward Like other tribes in this country without propaganda.
Opio appreciated Odur Ebil as a strong leader’s who has build many people.

Meanwhile Ibuje town council LC3 chairperson Jawaso Engim appealed to Owitong of Lango to stick to their positive resolution held at Margarita palace hotel saying election should be held on January 31 to avoid More confusion here in Lango.

Lango paramount chief,on 10, October 2023, stepped down and released a road Map aimed at picking his replacement and subsequent hand over in December, 31,2024.

Addressing people at the ceremony, Odur urged Lango to avoid demonstration on Akii Bua stadium and requested Lango community to instead contribute some resources for the construction of the stadium.

Odur also send his condolences in the memory of Atim Ogwal and said the late was a strong woman who cares for every one without any segregation.
