Parents of VH public school decry of continuous school fees increments.

   Some of the parents of VH public school have decried the continuous increments of school fees by the school authority. 

VH Public school is a government aided primary school that has been renowned for good performance but of late parents have complained of continuous increments of school fees with out consulting them high charges for pupils registration by ministry of Education among others.

  One of the parents of the school Alex Ogwal who spoke to our reporter said the school increased school fees in the last two terms with out consulting parents but the decision was solely taken by the head teacher, school management committee and chairperson. 

  He expressed fear that this action may lead to the collapse of the school and discourage some parents to stop sending their children to the school as third term will kick off next week. 

     Nelson Ongom another parent said that the new  school fees structure is not favorable for parents who earn little and could lead to school drop out.They have ready reported the matter to the office of the RCC for lira city Lawrence Egole for action to be taken. 

  According to the report they increased school fees ranging from 35000 -48 000=for the third term depending in the classes. 

  Meanwhile the PTA, Chairman Redgan Ongom for his comments said school fees increments was done following the covid19,and high cost of commodities,then again he added  that the school increased school fees with out the parents notice. 

  VH public school asked a total enrollment of 2400 pupils, as Jacob Odur the head teacher has refused to give his comments.
