Two perish in road accident along Lira Soroti high way.
The territorial police in Dokolo District are investigating a single fatal accident which claimed lives of two and many injured.
According to police, motor vehicle Reg: No UBH 002E Toyota Hiace silver grey had a tyre burst on the left hand side causing to it’s overturn.
According to SP Jimmy Patrick Okema the North Kyoga region police spoke person said this incident occurred in Agwata sub county near Agwata forest in Dokolo District on the 16th July,2023.
around 1230 hrs.
The driver whose particulars are not yet established died on spot and he was sneaked away by unidentified taxi driver to Mbale and others
were rushed to Lira Regional referral Hospital in critical condition and these were identified as follows:
- Apolot Sarah 26yrs of Ober Lira.
- Acio Tophy 32yrs of Otolemomoleo Dokolo
- Acen Robinah 20yrs of Arobi Kole District.
- Akite Lydia 37yrs of Okelikuc Bata Dokolo District
- Edi Walter 27yrs of Adala Adeknino Dokolo
- Oboli James Willy 71yrs old of Alita camp Lira died on admission yesterday
- Atim Elizabeth 24yrs of Kaberamaido.
Scene was visited by traffic team Dokolo, motor vehicle towed to CPS DOKOLO pending IOV’s inspection.
