A man found dead in River Moroto

A Man of 37yrs found dead in River Moroto during search for missing in otuke district.

The security in Otuke District are investigating suspected death by drowning of Egaro Sam 37 yrs old who’s a resident of Ocuri-Icak cell Oget ward Otuke Town Council in Otuke District.

While addressing the media in lira city SP. Jimmy Patrick Okema said, the deceased now Egaro Sam disappeared from his home on the 1st Nov 2023 at around 21:30hrs and on 03rd Nov 2023 Akello Teddy the wife reported his disappearance at Otuke CPS under SD ref 15/03/11/2023.

According to Okema on the 6th Nov 2023 his body was discovered dead floating on the waters of River Moroto at Elimakec cell Oget ward Otuke Town Council Otuke District.

Police continue that crime scene was visited by a team of police officers from Otuke police station and well documented.

Body retrieved from the water and conveyed to Orum HCIV pending postmortem.
Investigation is going on to establish what happened exactly.
