Alebtong district has received 2.4 billion shillings for construction of three secondary seed schools next financial year.

In her letter read by Denis Hamson Obua state minister for sports to locals of Adwir Sub County on Saturday, the permanent secretary in ministry of Education, Ketty Lamaro said government has set aside 2, 497,833,929 for constructing the schools.

Out of this, 897 million shillings will be used for construction of Awei Seed SS, 1 billion shillings for Angetta seeds, and 600 million shillings for Adwir Seed SS.

On 5th/05/2022 the acting Sub County chief of Adwir wrote to the district CAO and copied the letter to Minister Obua informing them about land that they had got for constructing Adwir Seed SS.

Minister Obua who doubles as Ajuri county MP subsequently wrote to the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Education informing her about the developments.

Obua said construction of Adwir seeds will commence in 2022/2023 financial year but will be done in phases.

Locals of Anangi village in Adwir parish offered 7 hectors of land for constructing Adwir Seed SS.

Adwir Sub County chairman Padi Francis Ogwang Abwang said locals of the area are in support of developments citing land they offered for constructing a school, market, Sub County offices and police outpost.
