Otuke residents lunched sleeping outside to protect their animals from karamojong cattle rustlers.

    A week after karamojong cattle rustlers attacked Olilim And Ogwete sub counties, local residents are sleep outside with their animals to protect them from suspected karamojong cattle rustlers .
 
       Speaking in an interview with our reporter through the phone, Francis Otyama the chairman lc3 of Olilim Sub county, said locals are now sleeping outside at night to watch over their animals and they are using Chains to protect them from being stolen against suspected karamojong cattle raiders.

     Otyama requested security in the district to reacts on the matters against the insecurity that karamojong cattle rustlers brought in the area.

   On the statement, Julius Achon Bua, member of parliment for Otuke East, said some of unscrupulous people are also using this opportunity to steal cattle in Otuke.

     Meanwhile Susan Abeja the woman member of parliment for Otuke District also raised the matter of national importance challenges in parliment.

    To respond on the matter, the State Minister in charge of veteran affairs,Huda Abason Oleru promise to be in Otuke next week to resolve the issue of insecurity in the district.
      
   Eearly this week, The police spokeperson for North kyoga region, Jimmy Patrick Okema while addressing the journalist at Lira central police station confirmed the matter and Said security forces managed to recovered 15 heads of cattle from karamojong cattle rustlers.
