Seven people arrested for killing a 23yrs old Man in Lira-City
The territorial police in Lira-City West Division are holding seven suspects in custody following suspected murder of one Odongo Baptista 23 yrs old a resident of starch factory ”B” cell in Adyel “A” ward Lira-City West Division.
It’s alleged that in the 7th night of April 2023 the deceased (Odongo) left a relaxing place called Capital Pub and on his way home around Lira Modern cell, he met some group of people, he was stubbed in the chest and bled until death.
A report was made to the police post at Starch factory where a case of murder was registered, scene visited by a team of police officers led by DPC Lira-City West Division, deceased body conveyed to Lira Regional Referral Hospital pending postmortem, knife used has been recovered and exhibited for investigation.
Suspects apprehended are;- Okello Anthony alias Engaro.
- Oven Kasim
- Odongo Roman
- Kent Emmanuel
- Okurut Ephraim
- Akwam Gerald.
- Apio Barbra.
Atin Opono prime suspect still at large. Motive of the incident not yet established.
