Prisons flagged off to Nairobi, Kenya for East African Netball Club Championship.

On behalf of the Commissioner General of Prisons, Mr. Jimmy Anguzu, Superintendent of Prisons (OC – Sports) this morning flagged the indomitable Prisons Netball Team for the East African Netball Club Championship due in Nairobi Capital City, Kenya.

The annual events that attract top Netball Clubs from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibari, Zambia and South Sudan will throw off on Saturday 13th May 2023 with a ceremonious opening scheduled at the Prestigious Nyayo International Stadium in the heart of Capital.

In his remarks before the team setting off, Mr. Jimmy Anguzu, SP congratulated the Prisons Queens for winning the recently concluded National Netball League title. He said qualifying for a regional tournament is a great milestone to Uganda Prisons Service because the games also have a standard entry mark that the girls worked hard to beat by becoming the best in the Country.
