Ssali Julius and Nabaggala Vanessa shines in the 15th edition of Som Inter-Project Chess Championship
A four days tournament that climaxed on Thursday marked a new champion in the Open rated ladies category who won the overall position with five out of eight.

Nabaggala who is under 16 years won a gold medal and a trophy, she was followed by Kawuma Patricia who won a silver medal and obtained five out of eight and Sarah Momanyi Mukeira won a bronze medal with four out of eight.

On the other hand in the men’s rated open category Julius Ssali won his second championship and obtained seven out of eight, he won a trophy with a gold medal. He was followed by Kiyaga Samuel who gained also seven out of eight with a silver medal while Kato Richard won a bronze medal in the third place with six and a half out of eight

In the unrated category boys Paul Kwagalakwe set a record of obtaining eight out of eight and won a gold medal with a trophy while Sylivia Betty Inyalio won in the girls category with 6 out of eight

In the differently abled category Mbaziira Wasswa Sharif won a gold medal obtaining five out of eight followed by Maxime Cizavita who won a silver medal with four out of eight and Seguya Enock trailed with a bronze
