Police is investigating a murder case in Oyam district.

Police in Oyam district is investgating the death of Okello walter aged 44 yrs a resident of Awaroiping Village, Akaka Parish, Aber Sub-County in Oyam District, however this incident occurred at corner Atapara cell.
It’s alleged that the deceased Okello Walter while walking from Corner Atapara trading center towards the home of his nephew Okite Kenneth at around 2330 hours, when he reached the home of Odongo Lawrence (prime suspect) he was intercepted by him, beat Okello badly together with his other colleagues who joined him. The victim was left lying helplessly in the compound. However the following day Odongo Lawrence at around 0900 hours went to Atapara Police Post claiming the deceased had trespassed into his home at around 2330 hours and he beat him up.
The scene was visited by a team of police detectives and SOCO from CPS OYAM where some exhibits were recovered.
Victim was rushed to Atapara hospital and he was later pronounced dead on arrival.
Four (4) suspects namely Odongo Lawrence,Opio Patrick, Oryema Geoffrey, Olang James have all been arrested to assist in investigations
Body of the deceased conveyed to ANYEKE HEALTH CENTRE IV pending postmortem.
We have not understood the motive behind this.
Hence investigation is going on.
