A Mob in Lira City west on 4 March,2024, whacked Ayo Jagwa a resident of Ayago ward in Lira City East Division.

The incident took place from the Starch Factory B cell in Lira City.

It's alleged that on March 4, the deceased now who is suspected to be notorious thief in the area was arrested by a group of unidentified Mob around Starch Factory B cell in Lira City and beat him badly and later died, According to the regional police spoke person Sp Jimmy Patrick Okema.

SP Okema said that the police in Lira City West Division had started investigating Ayo’s murder,he added that the Crime scene was documented and the body of the deceased was picked up and conveyed to Lira regional Referral hospital pending postmortem.

Okema Said, A Case of suspected Murder by a Mob has been registered and effort's to trace the suspects are on going, Following that we are appealing to the local leadership to support the Police with the investigation that can lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
