Government gives Dokolo district 650million for the construction of lake side secondary School.

The ceremony was officiated by Felix Okot Ogong, the area member of parliament for Dokolo South constituency who is also the representative of Uganda in the Pan Africa Parliament.

The scope of work includes two classroom blocks, five-stanza pit latrines for both girls and boys, two units of teachers’ houses, a science laboratory, a kitchen and others.

The contract to undertake the construction works was awarded to Akol Holdings Limited at a cost of Shs 650 million and the project is expected to run for 12 months maximum.

Addressing residents during the ceremony at Okwongodul Lakeside secondary school site, Okot appealed to government to fully support the infrastructural development of schools in Dokolo district.
