Kwania district threatens to sack staff who rejected transfers

Kwania district has threatened to sack 21 staff who have rejected the recent transfer.

Recently, Kwania district transferred 75 teachers and 13 head teachers and deputies.

In a report presented before a council meeting yesterday by the chairperson of health and education committee Dorcus Wanggari who doubles as the councilor of Aduku Town Council, it was found that some teachers and health workers who were transferred have not yet reported to their new work stations.

Joan Abutu who is the secretary for health and education said the transfer was done in good faith to improve service delivery in the district however, those who were enlisted have taken this in bad faith.

Abutu advised that those who have a challenge with the transfer should first report to their new work station and later channel their complaints through their immediate supervisors.

Kwania district Chief Administrative Officer Benard Opolot Apollo said he expects staff commitment in a bid to improve service delivery.
